Since Bob was a young lad, he felt it was his destiny to play the drums for someone, somewhere. "I saw my first live band when I was about 5 or 6,” Bob said. “I remember thinking how cool it was to get all that sound by hitting something with a stick. I also like sitting, so that aspect of drumming appealed to me."

Bob's influences are wide-ranging, but blues is king. "I'm not a flashy player and, technically, not very good at all. I just haven't told the rest of the band yet. Ooops! Well, I suppose they'll find out now. I'm doomed."

Bob lists among his favorite things long walks on the beach and the perfect cymbal crash.

Steve and guitarist Eric Shaver have been friends since high school. They founded The Circus of Fools and The Voodoo Edge before joining Buck ‘n the System, which morphed into Blues in the City after Buck departed. Steve lists amongst his favorite local artists Motor City Josh Ford, the James Cloyd Group, Joc'lyn B & the Detroit Street Players and South Side Denny Snyder (who doesn't come around here often enough).
